Notice of Proposed Rulemaking June 2026

ORM proposed a comprehensive revision to DCMR Title 7, Chapter 20, updating the District’s Public Sector Occupational Safety and Health Management Program for the first time in nearly 40 years. These updates strengthen the District’s safety framework, reaffirm the applicability of federal OSHA standards in District Government workplaces, clarify agency responsibilities, and enhance protections for employees and the public.
