The Office of Risk Management (ORM) is excited to announce the launch of the District Government's ERisk System. ERisk assists ORM in better managing risk for the District by integrating all District agencies in a city-wide effort to report incidents in real time. This exciting development gives ORM a clear process to follow when incidents or accidents occur resulting in quicker resolutions of claims.
Phase one of the ERisk system, launched on August 1st 2018 giving District Government employees the ability to report workplace injuries and incidents within a connected system. This was a change in process from how ORM previously managed Public Sector Workers' Compensation Program (PSWCP) claims. Instead of filing and processing claims via a contractor, ORM now manages workers' compensation claims in-house.
To file a workers' compensation claim employees are required to file an incident HERE or call our new help line at 202-442-HELP(4357) and complete the necessary fields. This change will better assist employees, their agencies, and ORM in quickly addressing workplace injuries so employees receive the best customer service and medical care.
