PUBLIC NOTICE ON THE OFFICE OF RISK MANAGEMENT’S PARTIAL TELEWORK STATUS
As a part of the District of Columbia Government Coronavirus (COVID-19) response, the District of Columbia government and the Office of Risk Management (ORM) are taking precautionary steps to keep District residents and government employees safe, while continuing to provide vital services to District residents, businesses, and visitors, as we respond to this health emergency. The Mayor declared a public health emergency, which became effective March 16, 2020. The health emergency has been extended until October 9, 2020. The Office of Risk Management will continue to operate on a partial telework operating status. This means the Office of Risk Management’s office at One Judiciary Square (441 Fourth Street, NW, Suite 800S) will continue to be closed to the public and non-ORM essential employees. The agency’s goal is to continuously provide everyone the highest level of service. As such, we have adjusted the delivery of our services to our constituents (residents, visitors, and District government employees) by requesting communication(s) with ORM to be performed via phone, email, or U.S. Mail rather than in person.
Our Public Sector Workers’ Compensation Program (PSWCP) is still in operation, but in a telework status. If you need to file a new claim or report an incident please visit our ERisk Incident Reporting page at https://ERisk.dc.gov/ or call (202) 442-4357. We continue to provide service to all our injured workers. If you are an existing claimant and wish to speak to your Claims Examiner, please email your claims examiner directly or [email protected] and an ORM staff member will reach out to you within 24 hours or the next business day.
ORM’s Tort Liability Claims division will also be in a telework status. If you wish to file a new claim please complete all required forms that can be found at https://orm.dc.gov/service/tort-liability-claim and mail them to our agency’s address at 441 Fourth Street, NW, Suite 800S, Washington, DC 20001. During the partial telework status, we will be unable to accept claims filed in-person in order to maintain precautionary safety measures.
